Our founder and director Arelis “Magic Feet” Beato has made it her mission to produce outstanding individuals and dancers by developing strong links between the social, academic, professional and artistic communities in various styles to suit their needs. It is her vision of creating future leaders that will continue to become stewards of their communities.
In 2000, Ms. Beato started the “Get kids off the Street Project” that gave children from at-risk environments and less fortunate households the opportunity to learn Latin dance and travel the country for free. Today, we have serviced thousands of youth across the Tri-State Area expanding our program to cover several forms of dance, academics, vocational education, character development, and now mental health services!
G-KOTS (Get Kids Off the Street) is a FREE / LOW COST program hosted by THE GLOBAL LATIN DANCE COUNCIL, INC. "A not-for-profit 501c3 Organization. The program allows youth to learn the visual and performing arts, while reinforcing their academics, Character & Professional development, as well as touch on various vocational skills, including but not limited to business management, event planning, cooking, costume design, drawing, and much more. The Summer Work study program teaches youth how to run their own business, as well as develop proper work ethics and professionalism that will help them succeed when the time comes to join the adult work life.
